Man Jailed as Sex Worker Dies in his House

Still struggling to come terms with the sad news that hit me with a dreadful sting few days ago.

I hope I recover from the shock and I pray the poor soul find his footing in this life or the next.

A man in his late twenties. Brilliant, tough and clever fell into a hole.

He was yet to recover from a girl he inpregnated in the village some years ago.

All efforts by the family to get him to marry the girl proved abortive.

Many years had past, yet he couldn't commit himself to the lady and his child who is now three years old. Angrily, the lady left him and relocated to the village with the child.

He said he was not ready to marry her. Not to talk of being a father to his own child.

While the parents wanted him to settle down and put his life together, the young man was never on the same page with his own family.

He was always sleeping around with women. There are several women in his life, most of which are prostitutes. He brings them home at the slightest opportunity.

Four days ago, his mother travelled. So he was home alone. The poor creature connected with a local prostitute around Okokomaiko.

When it was time to smash her honey pot, the woman he brought home started screaming that she was dying.

Neighbours came to see what was going on. She rushed out of the young man's house. She was stoling and vomiting at the same time.

While the young watched helplessly, the neighbors calmed her down. And moved back to their flats. They assumed the stomach pain would subside and she will be fine.

By the time they disappeared, they call girl slumped on the grass and died.

Moments later, when the young man came to get her in. He wasn't having none of it. His money can't  go down the drain just like that. He found her cold on the floor.

Fear fell on him. He placed his hands on his head and paced back and forth, pondering what to do.

One of the neighbors, looked out from the window. He could see the young man in distress and the lady lying lifeless on the floor.
He decided to wait until it was daybreak before making any move.

As the Cockerel sounded it was dawn, the neighbors came out of their houses.

The lady was dead. In few hours, she had began to swell. Strange as it was. The young man did not have sex with her that night.

He was advised to report himself to the police.

He was arrested and locked in the cell. The lady was moved to the mortuary as police investigate the matter.

Loan Sharks, Defaulting Loan Company and You.

Please let's take note of the following :

1. No loan app have the authority to come to your house, no matter who they are

2. Loan default is not a criminal offense and as such, defaulting on a loan Repayment is not a crime.

3. Repayments and patronage to loan sharks and illegal money lenders is a crime on its own.

4. There is nothing fruitful that can be done with money gotten from loan sharks. You either use it to treat one sickness or buy food or solve one problem or another. The money they give is never enough to start a business and even if it is, the interest rate on top will choke the life out of the business.

5. No loan firm have the right to abuse, harass, embarrass, defame you or ridicule you especially to your contacts or 3rd parties over your loan default.

6. It is a criminal offense for loan firms to expose your information especially bio data and financial details such as BVN, account details, NIN etc to 3rd parties

7. It is a criminal offense for loan firms to edit your pictures obtained through the access you grant them in the process of obtaining a loan.... It is a crime for them to edit such pictures with derogatory comments such as infected with HIV, rest in peace, husband snatcher, etc

8. It is a criminal offense by loan sharks to solicit for funds on your behalf from your contacts with express permission from you. It is called obtaining money by false pretense.

9. You are well within your right to boycott payments to any loan firm that have defamed you or exposed your data(which you gave them in confidence) to 3rd party without your express permission.

10. It is illegal to obtain loans from registered money lenders without the intentions to repay them. You can be jailed for it.

Know your rights today.

If you are a victim of the above, do well to send an email to the authorities with the email addresses below.

3. Date of the loan collection, repayment dates and interest rates

4. Date of defamation

5.  Screenshots of defamation messages

6. A few numbers that received the defamation messages.

7. Threats and abuses of the loan agents to you or your family members.

8. Any other information that can help the authorities bring these people to justice.

The email addresses to send the message to are below :

info@nitda.gov.ng

contact@fccpc.gov.ng

Ensure you copy the email address of the defaulting loan company so they will know you have taken an action against them.

For example, if you are reporting soko loan, when sending the emails with evidence, make sure you copy soko loan email for them to know you are reporting them.

The government must do more to protect its citizens and a permanent ban must be placed on all illegal lending homes.

We will win this fight......

HOW WRITING MY FIRST BOOK DESTROYED PEOPLE PLEASING AND EMPOWERED MY GLOW UP by Tamara Rasheed

In 2009, I wasn't prepared for all the fear and worry that popped up when I sat down to write my first book.

Fear shifts when you start writing your book.

You're not afraid to protect yourself and play small anymore.

You're feeling the fear, the uncertainty, of stepping into your brightest light.

If you're a new author, you might feel that fear and worry coming, so you have been avoiding being committed to writing.

It's scary to relive what you've gone through when it's just for the sake of remembering.

And if you've already started this journey, you're probably feeling like you're just crawling toward the finish line and have no energy for what might come next. Going through all of that is so draining.

But let me tell you why you need to jump into it even though you're afraid.

And why you need to keep pushing when you're almost finished.

As I got started, I realized my fear was coming from the past traumas I had experienced and healed from.

I was getting triggered remembering those events and reliving the past - when that wasn't the point of writing this book.

And that wasn't the point of going through all the things I went through either - just to be afraid.

Writing this first book actually inspired me to write more about my story, and I got the courage to write my best-selling book Breaking Free while facing those fears.

I realized if I really wanted to make an impact, I was going to have to use what I had been through differently.

I was going to have to make things better with the same things I thought tore me down when I thought I was at my smallest in life.

I couldn't do that while hiding from it, and writing my book brought it all into perspective.

I was scared to say too much and tried to stick to the information I wanted to share only, but the book was cold and didn't really reflect what I wanted to share.

It needs you and your life to really make a difference.

I couldn't write more than 75 pages if I didn't want to include how my life was actually impacted or without really opening up my life.

Writing this book made me realize that I had dimmed my light my whole life.

I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by sharing my accomplishments or being my authentic self - and that was the trauma talking, not my future.

Fear shifts when you start writing your book.

You're not afraid to protect yourself and play small anymore.

You're feeling the fear, the uncertainty, of stepping into your brightest light.

It's the fear that reaches out to the most courageous and brightest shining parts about who you are so that you start living fully.

You see, you're not becoming someone better than you were.

You're stepping into the awesomeness you already are.

I hope this helps.

This Picture is an Image of a Functional System (MUST READ) by Charles Awuzie

My Transhuman Coin Smart Watch alerted me of an elevated Blood Pressure. It was around 9pm and we were inside the Bush for a bush dinner.

This happened last week in Sun City. I soon started feeling chest pain and felt dizzy. I phoned my hosts and asked to get back to the hotel with my co-speakers.

Getting to the hotel, the pain got worse so I got my people to get me an ambulance. In 3 minutes, 2 paramedics from the hotel arrived. 9 minutes later, a fully equipped ambulance arrived.
They offered me Aspirin because they thought I was having a heart attack. I declined and informed them that my anti-coagulant protects me better than an Aspirin. One of the paramedics recognised me and asked "are you Charles Awuzie?". I nodded in the affirmative. She said she follows me on social media and told her colleagues that I have good knowledge of my Biology. She saved me from explaining my history and also allowed pictures because she knows I'm doing a documentary of my life and health.

By the way, I need to pause here to remind some of you that I do not post updates like this because I need "herbal solutions" or your prophet's phone number. I post these updates as a TRANSHUMANIST to explain the condition and future of our human biology and how Science and distributed wealth can prolong human lives.

Back to my story, when I got to the hospital, I was given medications that calmed my raging system and I slept off. I woke up in the morning, got Uber back to the hotel, got ready for my presentation on "How Religion Impedes Science in Africa". The next day, we drove back to Johannesburg and I haven't rested. I've been on the road, travelling for business. I'm back to hospital tomorrow for my routine check up. Thanks to good medical insurance.

Unfortunately, if I was in Nigeria, I would be dead by now.
This post was inspired by Nigerian Journalist, David Hundeyin's story of how his 63 year old dad died in Lagos while waiting for an ambulance which had run out of petrol. The ambulance arrived 2 hours later.
His story reminded me of Footballer, Sam Okwaraji who died on the soccer field playing for Nigeria. The ambulance was delayed and he died.
A friend lost his wife in Lagos traffic. And many more of such sad stories abound.

Last year, I suffered a PE and SCA - what saved me wasn't prophets or their religious prayers, what saved me was the PROMPT RESPONSE OF A FULLY EQUIPPED AMBULANCE - and yes, some funds to take care of myself.
And if I die tomorrow, it wasn't god or witches that killed me, it would be a poor medical decision, error or accident. The power of life and death is not just in our tongue according to the Christian bible, it's also in our hands as a people ruled by governments and affected by economies.

I'll continue to share pictures like this to motivate Nigerians to rethink politics, religion and life in general.     There's no witchcraft worse than a mixture of poverty and a dysfunctional healthcare system.
Shall we continue like this?

This picture is an image of a functional system, it's not a picture of a sick body.

Big thanks to my Transhuman Coin Smart watch which alerts me of any body change and to a responsive healthcare system.

My name is #CharlesAwuzie and I want the best healthcare system for All Africans despite financial status or political affiliation.

Maranatha.

A GIFT IS RECOGNISED IN LAW AS A COMPLETE VOLUNTARY TRANSFER OF INTEREST IN A PROPERTY OR THING AND CAN NOT BE RESCINDED, REVOKED OR RETRIEVED By Pelumi Olajengbesi Esq.

The concept of gifts seldom generates disputes especially when a benefactor changes his mind towards the beneficiary and attempts to retrieve a gift already given. Generally, gifts given out cannot be retrieved under the law except if the gifts is conditional or does not meet up with the requisite conditions that satisty an act as a gift.

The Black’s Law Dictionary, Ninth Edition, defines a gift as the voluntary transfer of property or a thing to another without compensation. In simple parlance, a gift is the transfer of something of value to another without necessarily receiving anything in return. The gift giver is called the Donor while the recipient is called the Donee.

A gift is a legally enforceable transfer of interest in a thing provided same is done in accordance with the legal prerequisites which includes:

The donor’s voluntariness,
The intention to donate the gift,
The existence of an identifiable and unencumbered thing or interest which is the gift itself,
The delivery of the gift,
The acceptance of the gift by the donee,
And finally the absence of consideration.

The Supreme Court in Anyaegbunam v. Osaka (2000) 5 NWLR (Pt. 657) defined inter vivos gift as an act whereby something is voluntarily transferred from the true possessor to another person with full intention that the thing shall not return to the donor, and with full intention on the part of the receiver to retain the thing entirely as his own without restoring it to the giver.

It should be noted that the general principle of contract law relating to capacity also apply in gifts in determining the competence of the donor vis a vis the nature and circumstance of the gift. People of unsound mind, minor, may not be competent to donate a gift.

Gifts may be categorized differently based on nature, circumstance and purpose or intent.

A gift may be gift inter vivos, gift causa mortis or testamentary gift. Gift inter vivos refers to gift between two living persons while gift causa mortis is a gift in contemplation of death. An inter vivos gift takes effect while the donor is living as contrasted with a testamentary gift which is to take effect on the death of the donor (testator); and once it is made, the subject of the gift ceases to belong to the donor. A gift inter vivos must possess three elements: the present donative intent of the donor (that he intends to make the gift ‘now’ and not a promise in the future.

Therefore, a promise to give someone your car by the end of the month is not a gift, but a promise even though enforceable, only becomes a gift upon the delivery and acceptance by the donee. Once the gift is in the possession and control of the donee, it is a complete gift. On the other hand, a gift causa mortis must possess the elements aforementioned, plus the donor’s anticipation of death. The donor in this scenario might be sick, injured, or believes that s/he’s approaching death. In the event that the donor does not die, the gift is automatically revoked; and if such donor intends for the gift to still pass to such donee, s/he has to re-gift it or include it in a will as a testamentary gift.

With regards to the nature of gifts, a gift may be real or manual. Real gifts refer to gifts of immovable property such as land and houses or anything affixed on the land. Manual gifts are gifts of personal, tangible, movable property, otherwise called chattels or chose transitory. A gift may also be a chose in action, which refers to transferrable interests in property which can only be enforced by taking action, not by physical possession; such as shares. Manual gifts require no formality to be enforced as far as there is donative intent, delivery and acceptance by the donee; however, real gifts need to be reduced into writing to be validly transferred. Section 4 of the Statute of Frauds Act prescribes all transactions, transfers pertaining to land, including gifting, to be executed in writing, describing the property and signed by the donor. The purpose of this formalism is to promote the common good by protecting social interest in the security of transactions and of acquisitions against fraud and deception. Although Customary Law requires no writing for the transfer of land by way of gift, in lieu of writing however, there must be actual handing over of the land to the donee in the presence of witnesses and the acceptance by him of the gift. See the case of Madam Alice Orido v. Theophilus Akinlolu (2012) LCN/5271 (CA).

As free as gifts are said to be, a gift may either be conditional or unconditional. Generally, it is trite in law that a donor of absolute gift cannot revoke the gift after it has been accepted by the donee. However, where a donor can show that the gift was subject to a condition which has been broken, such a completed gift can be revoked. See the case of Ekpa v. Utong (1991) 6 NWLR (pt.197) 258 at 284. A conditional gift becomes irrevocable only upon fulfilment of the condition upon which it was given. For instance, a gift of land to a religious leader for the purpose of building a place of worship in ‘your’ village can be revoked where such religious leader builds a family house instead. In Odede & Anor v. Jonah & Anoh (2019) LPELR-49040 (CA), the Court rejected the Appellant’s argument of an outright gift when a family land was given to the appellant’s family to build a church pending when the land would be partitioned. The Appellant was supposed to build temporary structures but he started changing the walls and was stopped by the Respondents. The Court held that if it was an outright gift he wouldn’t be stopped by anyone, much less the people who gifted him; that what the Appellant called an outright gift is in fact nothing more than a conditional license to occupy the land with the understanding that structures built should be temporary.

A gift under a promise of marriage, whether real or manual can be revoked where the donee refuses to marry the donor; that is to say where a contract to marry exists between the donor and donee, a claim for revocation of gifts given under that promise or contract to marry can be entertained under general law.

However, such contract must be with respect to statutory marriage under the Marriage Act, not customary law marriage; and such contract to marry will only be valid between persons of single status. It is therefore necessary for a donor of such gift to protect the transaction by expressing the conditions of the gift, in writing or advisably in the presence of witnesses. The idea of a prenuptial agreement is usually faulted as being morally incompatible, yet the law is not sentimental or moral; if prospective spouses fail to protect their interests, they should not expect remedy under law. Postnuptial agreements are also encouraged to cover instances where spouses divorce or a spouse dies intestate or leaves behind property which would otherwise be counted as residuary gifts.

Gifts given or favours and services rendered in expressed anticipation of something in return can be withdrawn, or recovered. Where a gift cannot be recovered, the donor can sue for damages in lieu. Where a person makes a donation inter vivos or testamentary to a non-profit organization or a religious organization for purposes of advancement beneficial to the community, such gift is regarded as charitable or pious and cannot be revoked except clear conditions are found to be broken, or under legally recognized grounds; so it behoves on the donor to express intent in writing to be accepted by the donee. Furthermore, a gift can be revoked where the donor can establish fraud, mistake, misrepresentation or perhaps failure of the object of the gift. See the case of Imah & Anor v. Chief A Okogbe & ors (1993) 12 SCNJ 57; (1993) 9 NWLR (Pt. 316) 159.

It goes without saying that a recipient needs to clarify whether the item or property given is really a gift, and a donor should clearly express the purpose or condition of a gift, if any. People who are always in place to receive gifts or enjoy free services should learn to inquire into the purpose, conditionality and masked consideration or reciprocal obligations behind such gifts, to avoid matters that may arise in future.

Nigerians May Use Togo, Ghana Airports For International Travels As More Airlines Will Suspend Services To Nigeria – Foreign Airlines Association

The President of the Association of Foreign Airlines and Representatives in Nigeria, Kingsley Nwokeoma, has said the Emirates Airlines’ suspension of its flights to Nigeria over trapped forex is just the beginning as more international carriers would join soon if nothing was done to address their concerns.

Nwokeoma said this while reacting to the trapped forex of international airlines in Nigeria, which is the major reason Emirates Airlines suspended its flights.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) had expressed concerns over the decision by the Nigerian government to block foreign airlines from repatriating ticket sales revenue amounting to $450 million (N188.6bn) into their respective countries.

Emirates Airlines, while announcing the suspension of its flights to Nigeria on
Thursday stated that it “has tried every avenue to address our ongoing challenges in repatriating funds from Nigeria, and we have made considerable efforts to initiate dialogue with the relevant authorities for their urgent intervention to help find a viable solution.”

In his reaction, the President of the Association of Foreign Airlines and Representatives in Nigeria noted that if other countries were like Nigeria, the industry would not have existed as there would be no money for maintenance.

The Punch quoted Nwokeoma as saying, “This is just the beginning. It is over $1 billion dollars that is being held and they (foreign airlines) cannot repatriate it. If other countries are like Nigeria, there will not be any industry because this money is used for maintenance. Even the money used to pay their staff in Nigeria is coming from other climes.

“Aviation industry is all about 100 per cent safety. If there is no money, safety will not be 100 per cent guaranteed. So, it is going to continue. Emirates has kick-started it and I’m sure that you are aware that British Airways has cut flights into Nigeria and that is how it is going to start.

“Just like Emirates did, they will first of all cut their flight into Nigeria and they will look at it holistically again and if it is not working out, then it’s not working out. This did not start today. It started over the years and the government is not doing anything.”

Speaking further, he said, “Look at it this way, when things were not this bad, what commitment did the government make? Is it now that things are gloomy? So, we hope that we don’t have to go to Benin Republic, Togo or Ghana before we can fly out or do our international travels.”

He observed that most passengers from Nigeria travelled to Dubai and the Middle East using Emirates Airlines.

“So if they are not coming into Nigeria, it means there is going to be a big vacuum which nobody can fill. It will continue because the airlines will start reducing frequencies,” he said.

“I keep asking this question that if other climes are behaving like Nigeria, will there be an aviation sector? The airplanes that come in are not our freight. They have to pay Boeing, they pay AirBus, they pay all these people, they have a payment scheme and where is the money coming from? So, it is an issue.”

A few hours after the report of Emirates Airline's suspension of its airlines to Nigeria filtered the air on Thursday, British Airways informed its passengers that it was changing to full fares at any moment.

A notice by the airways quoted by The Punch read, “Good afternoon. Please be informed that information reaching us from BA indicates that the airline is changing to full fares F, J, W and Y any moment from now. Kindly let (us) issue any pending tickets to avoid fare increase.”

Explaining the meaning of the notice, Nwokeoma said “It is basically to cover for the dollar loss, but some airlines are doing it already. So, that means air tickets will be more expensive.

“It will be more expensive because it will now be in relationship with the black market rate. So, the F, J, W, Y middle seats will be more expensive.”

SaharaReporters earlier reported that IATA described the blockage of $464 million in repatriation money for basically foreign airline companies in July by the Nigerian Government as disappointing.

The group warned that if the money is not repatriated to the companies concerned, the Nigerian economy will suffer.

About two weeks ago, Emirates said that out of these funds, it had about $85 million in Nigeria.

On Monday, the airline cut its 11 weekly frequencies into Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos to seven.

In a statement by its media consultant in Nigeria, the airline alleged that all efforts to repatriate the funds had been futile. It said it was compelled to suspend all flights into the country.

IATA, in a tweet on Thursday, said it is “disappointed that the amount of airline money blocked from repatriation by the #The Nigerian government grew to $464 million in July. #blockedfunds.”

"IATA’s many warnings that failure to restore timely repatriation will hurt Nigeria with reduced air connectivity are proving true with the withdrawal of @emirates from the market.

"Airlines can’t be expected to fly if they can’t realize revenue from ticket sales. Loss of connectivity harms the economy, hurts investor confidence, impacts jobs and people’s lives,” it added.

"The Government of Nigeria needs to prioritize the release funds before more damage is done," IATA said.

FCCPC to restrain loan sharks service providers

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) says it has ordered all financial technology companies (FinTechs) to stop providing payment or transaction services to digital money lenders under its investigation.

Mr Babatunde Irukera, Executive Vice Chairman of the commission, disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday during an enforcement action on some of the digital money lenders in Lagos.

He identified such FinTechs to include Flutterwave, Opay, Paystack and Monify which are operating payment systems and providing services to such digital lenders under its investigation or not operating with applicable regulatory approvals.

Irukera said the commission also ordered telecommunication and technology companies which include Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to stop providing server, hosting or other key services such as connectivity to such disclosed or known lenders.

According to him, the Federal High Court empowers the commission to search and seize properties from premises of targets and subjects of investigation.

This, he said made the commission to  enforce the law against a company, widely known as Soko Lending Ltd.

“The information available to the commission demonstrates that Soko Lending appears to be the most consequential digital money lender with multiple apps and brand names.

“It is covering a significant share of the digital or online lending market, and one of the most prolific actors in violating consumer privacy, fair lending terms and ethical loan practices.

“Prior to this operation, the commission had previously, on March 11, 2022 carried out a similar enforcement action with respect to multiple lenders; which action and continuing investigation has reduced previously high and escalating unethical, obnoxious and unscrupulously exploitative practices in the industry,” he said.

He, however, said some of the lenders who had been subject of investigation had devised methods to leverage on technology and other financial services alternatives to circumvent account freezing and app suspension Orders.

“With the operations today, the commission expects appreciable additional reduction in these unacceptable practices.

“The commission has also today entered further Orders that will disable or diminish violators’ ability to devise circumvention efforts or alternative mechanisms to circumvent the objective of the investigation and protection of citizens,” Irukera added.

According to him, the Order requires permission to proceed in digital lending; it provides a limited moratorium period for existing businesses to comply in order to continue in digital lending.

“The guidelines also mandate different service providers in the relevant ecosystem such as banks, platforms or stores, technology providers and payment systems to require regulatory approval before providing services.

“The commission expresses its gratitude to victims and citizens who have provided information or contributed to the investigation; and welcomes the continuing engagement that provides the relevant information or intelligence through the already established and publicised channels,” the FCCPC boss said.

CASEMIRO: The Best Defensive Midfielder in the Last 10 Years?

Carlos Henrique Casimiro (born 23 February 1992), known as Casemiro, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Brazil national team.

Considered the best defensive midfielder in the last decade. If Man United get their man, he will be an upgrade to the bodies they currently have in the middle.

One of Scott Mctominay and Fred should be sold. To make way for another top talent. In my opinion, CASEMIRO alone is not enough to get United back on their feet.

Manchester United will need more bodies in the midfield. At least two top talents.

For now, I don't trust Bruno Fernandes. His form has tailed off.

Welcome to Old Trafford, CASEMIRO!!!

OKADA: LAGOS GOVT EXTENDS BAN TO 4 MORE LGAS, 5 LCDAS FROM SEPT 1

Lagos State Government, on Thursday, extended a ban on the activities of commercial motorcycles, popularly known as Okada, to four more Local Government Areas (LGAs) and six Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

Effective from September 1, 2022, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu directed enforcement teams to fully implement the proscription order and bust erring riders across the councils listed in the Okada ban.

The additional places are Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu and Mushin Local Government Areas. The Development Area Councils are Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Isolo LCDA, Bariga LCDA, and Odi-Olowo LCDA.

The latest pronouncement came about three months after Sanwo-Olu ordered a total restriction on Okada in six LGAs, comprising Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Surulere, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, and Apapa, as well as LCDAs under them.
This brings it to 25 councils of the 57 councils in which Okada activities have been proscribed.

Announcing the ban at a press conference held at the Government secretariat in Alausa, Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladehinde, said the extension of the proscription order was a move by the State Government to sustain the gains recorded in the ongoing action against Okada operations in the State.

The commissioner said Okada accidents and fatalities had reduced by 63.7 per cent across the 15 local councils where the first phase of ban had been enforced, stressing that the development also significantly brought down the rate of crimes associated with motorcycles.

This, Oladehinde said, led to resolutions reached at a Stakeholders Forum, last Tuesday, with interest groups in which the participants unanimously urged the Government to make the Okada ban State-wide.

He said: “The Ministry in conjunction with the inter-ministerial committee on Okada, having critically accessed these resolutions and the challenges of Okada operations on the security architecture of the State, recommended to Mr. Governor not to go back on the already laid down phase ban in a bid to sustain the gains.

“Based on the apparent positive impact of the ban and the resolution of the Stakeholders’
Forum, Mr. Governor has approved the ban of Okada in another four LGAs and their respective five LCDAs for the second phase of the total ban, in addition to the on-going ban in the six LGAs and their respective LCDAs.”

The State Government advised residents to embrace alternative means of transportation for their journey, noting that the State had provided safe and sustainable First- and Last-Mile Transport Scheme, BRT Scheme, e-hailing taxi Scheme and other acceptable means for the safety of commuters.

Oladehinde disclosed that 7,500 motorcycles had been impounded and crushed in the ongoing enforcement, while resistance had dropped sharply. He issued a stern warning to riders who may want to flout the proscription order, stressing that the enforcement would not be sparing.

The Commissioner said the State Government had interventions in place to empower the affected Okada riders as an alternative means of livelihood. He urged them to embrace the intervention programmes which are being coordinated by six Government ministries and also Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).

He said: “It is important to reiterate the State Government’s commitment to the safety, security of lives and properties in the State. In exercising this, any motorcycle impounded will be crushed and the process will be made public.

“Both riders and passengers arrested on proscribed routes will be made to face the full wrath of the law in line with the provision of Section 46, sub-section 1, 2 & 3 of the Transport Sector Reform Law (TSRL), 2018.”

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, observed that the last Tuesday meeting with stakeholders reviewed the enforcement action taken since the total ban, pointing out that the feedback from the public informed further measures to curtail the activities of the commercial motorcycles.

He said Okada riding remained alien to the State’s integrated transportation master plan.

The ban enforcement will be supervised by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation.

EFCC Arrests Social Media Influencer Over Fraud, Remanded In Prison ...

Before Emilia Portia was nabbed by the EFCC for defrauding her Facebook followers of 110 million naira Ponzi investment, she had actually been in the business of scamming her followers on social media but unlike my good lady, Amanda Chisom, who she mentored on how to scam gullible Facebook people, she was not outright and loud  with her scam.

She packaged herself very well as a well-to-do socialite who is the chairman of a fake bank, so it was easy for gullible people to fall for her antics.

Before her present ordeal with EFCC, in 2015, she orchestrated a big heist among Nigerians in the diaspora who supported the former president, Good luck, Jonathan.

She appeared rich, so it was easy for the diaspora Goodluck Jonathan supporters to believe her and part with their hard-earned money.

My friend Uyai Abasiama James was scammed 40 million by the legendary Portia using that scheme in 2015  and their only connection was that they both supported Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

After she made away with the scam and her victims were helpless to recover their money, she built for herself a mansion in Lekki, where she is presently living from the loot of her scam.

After the 2015 scam, the same lady introduced MMM to her followers, where she cashed out before introducing Longrich.

Her method was simple; she is a socialite, a British trained lawyer from a popular family in Rivers state, and a generous philanthropist who did giveaways on Facebook, so her audience believed her to the point of death.

Thank goodness that her current victims, whom she scammed 110 million, refused to allow their money to go like that, the way her previous victims did as they silently petitioned the EFCC, which went into action to arrest her and arraign her in court yesterday.

I have come to realize that most young people who have no verifiable business funding their soft lifestyle on Facebook are scammers and criminals. All of them, including the one that claims that they are self-made.

Dear young Hustler, you are doing well.

Trust me when I say this, you are doing well.

Your progress might be slow, but don't be too hard on yourself.

Don’t allow these  yahoo boys and girls to distract you from your mission.

Keep building!

THE WORD OF WISDOM BY THE SPIRIT by Ben Jossy Olofu

The word of wisdom is the manifestation of the Spirit which produces a specific revelation of instruction to solve problems and bring solution.

The word of wisdom is a revelation from God concerning what to do, when to do it and how to do it.

The word of knowledge is only informative, the word of wisdom is informative and instructive.

The word of wisdom produces divine interventions, it aids in the working of miracles.

It is not human wisdom, but divine revelation of wisdom from the Spirit of God.

From Noah and the Ark,

To Abraham leaving his father's house even though he was prosperous there,

From Joseph bringing solution after interpreting the dream of Pharaoh,

To Moses telling the people to move toward when there was no where to move toward to,

And stretching his rod to part the sea,

And down to giving for about 70 elders of Israel to present themselves for impartation of power,

All the design of the tabernacle, the ordinances, laws and tenets of the Old Covenant,

We see always manifest, a fragment of the wisdom of God given to men to do things which could not be done by natural wisdom, and many times, if natural wisdom produces such instructions, it will produce no power, solve no problems and proffer no solutions to problems.

The word of wisdom can seem to be ambiguous, or sometimes foolish, because such instructions can often times defy the laws of logic, science and and the normal wisdom of nature.

The nine manifestations of the Spirit can solve any problem on earth,

And the word of wisdom aids in bringing God's Omniscience to us, then when we act on it, we see instant or gradual results in the aspect that His wisdom addresses.

God loves us and has given us His Spirit. We Need to understand that we have a level playing ground with all the men who operated in this manifestation from the Old Testament to New Testament times.

There is nothing available to them that is not available to us today. We will pursue spiritual things and keep the rivers of living water flowing, of which the word of wisdom is one of its streams.

The word of wisdom is not limited in operation, no manifestation of the Spirit is limited in operation, this is because God is not limited in His Omnisciece, He knows all facts, has all the information that could put us over in any aspect of life.

We need to draw, or rather we need to relax and recieve without restrictions, His words of wisdom to us is for present times, for the future, until Jesus comes, then only shall it cease.

His words of wisdom covers healing and health, deliverance from evil and from evil men, instructions for any aspect of ministry, instructions for natural things like marriage, education, business, job and day to day activities that cover every sphere of our existence.

Surely we see, that God has given us everything that has to do with life and godliness for us to enjoy here on this earth and in the world to come.

Hallelujah.

Ajayi Crowther’s Wrong Translation of Èṣù into Devil by Reno Omokri

First published in my column, #TheAlternative, in today’s ThisDay.

Make mistake about it, I believe in the God of Scripture. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I also believe in Yeshua Hamashiach (AKA Jesus Christ), who is the only begotten Son of God and the only Way to the Father, as John 14:6 teaches.

However, I do know that when the Hebrews forgot who the Living God is, it was a Black African man that helped Moses rediscover Him. That man was the priest of Midian-Exodus 2:16.

That priest gave Moses his daughter, Zipporah, as his wife-Exodus 2:21. And that Zipporah was a Black African-Numbers 12:1. And that Zipporah taught Moses the forgotten Law of God concerning circumcision-Exodus 4:25.

From the foregoing, it is clear that while we should worship only the One true God of Scripture, we should also take time to study our own African culture and history, and reject any aspects of it that are repugnant, and contrary to natural justice, and retain all aspects of it that do not clash with Scripture.

Look at the West. They have romanticised their European gods, like Thor, Zeus, Jupiter, etc. And you see Africans flocking, in their millions, to watch movies glorifying these beings, yet we pooh-pooh anything relating to African traditional beliefs.

In fact, that Thor is actually Sango. The coincidences are just too much. Sango had a hammer/anvil that he used to supernatural cause thunder and lightning to proceed from the heavens. Is that not what the Nordic Vikings said about Sango? So, how come you and I tolerate Thor in our modern lives and condemn Sango? We do not have to worship Sango. God forbid! But we can teach about him as part of our history.

We celebrate unscriptural characters like Father Christmas and Santa Claus, which are in reality just European pagan symbols, and sneer at African masquerades.

We must realise that a people who do not know their own history are like a tree without roots. When the storm comes, that tree will be uprooted. And the storm is coming. In fact, it is already here.

Outside of what is specifically contained in Scripture, most religious practices of Western Christendom (I am not referring to the pure faith of Christ) were dreamt up and written by those who looked down on Blacks Africans and enslaved us. It is therefore an act of neo-colonialism to accept what they tell you hook, line and sinker, without first questioning it. Everything in Scripture is true. Everything outside it is questionable.

One thing I learnt in Cuba is that Èṣù, or Echú as they pronounce it, is actually not satan. Cuban and Brazilian Yoruba (the word is pronounced Oruba here in Cuba, with the Y silent) left Nigeria before Ajayi Crowther corrupted that word. They were not affected by the corruption. Èṣù is actually an Òrìṣà (a god or deity), what in Scripture, is called a fallen angel/demon. But he is not satan himself.

Interestingly, Oruba is taught in schools here in Cuba, and Ifa worship (known here as Santeria, although there are other things included, not just Ifa) is very widespread and done openly. Èṣù is one of the Òrìṣà of Santería. Black, White and Latin are all deeply into Santeria here.

The issue is that when Samuel Ajayi Crowther was translating the Bible into Yoruba, he could not find a suitable word for satan, and rather than just leave it as satan, he took one of the deities in Ifa worship, Èṣù, and turned him into satan.

While it is hard to translate satan into Yoruba, because there is no such concept, the nearest being to satan is not Èṣù. Even the word Èṣù is not complete. In Cuba, the full name is Èṣù-Ẹlẹ́gbára, sometimes shortened to Ẹlẹ́gbá, or Echú Eleguá, as the Cubans call it. In Brazil, the deity is sometimes known as Exu. It was in Cuba that I was educated to the fact that the place in Lagos called Ojuelegba, is actually Ojubo Ẹlẹ́gbá, meaning altar, or shrine of Ẹlẹ́gbá, or more accurately a portal from which the deity enters and exits the spiritual realm to enter the physical realm. And we in Nigeria are blissfully unaware of this!

And the thing is that the word Èṣù refers to (and I know I will annoy a lot of Christians with this truth) more or less a messenger of God (Olódùmarè or Elódùmarè in the Yoruba pantheon of gods, as opposed to Olorun, which is rather a vague honorific).

The reason is because there are more than one Èṣù. Each Èṣù is a messenger of Olódùmarè for a specific purpose.

For example, you have Èṣù Odara, which some say is a different messenger from Èṣù-Ẹlẹ́gbára.

The point I am making is that we need to study and properly situate the ancient Yoruba pantheon of gods, not so we can worship them, but so we can properly situate them.

For instance, if we are calling a being who is in fact not satan, satan, then the real satan is left of the hook, and the minds of millions of Yoruba speaking people, who are adherents of Abrahamic faiths, are contaminated or corrupted by this wrong association.

For instance, take Ifa worship. It consists mainly of divination. Now, when you hear that word, divination, it sounds mystical. But what it really is is casting of lots.

And casing of lots in Ifa worship goes back more than a millennia. We know this because of the Ife Bronze Heads which incorporate aspects of Ifa divination.

Now, here is the interesting part. Casting of lots, in a very similar fashion as Ifa divination was practiced in Scripture, in both the Old and New Testament. As a matter of fact, Casting of lots is mentioned 47 times in scripture.

It is mentioned in Leviticus 16:8, Numbers 26:55, Joshua 7:14 (which is almost exactly how it is used in Ifa divination), Joshua 18:6, 1 Samuel 14:42, Jonah 1:7 and many more verses of Scripture.

In the New Testament, it is mentioned in Acts 1:23-26.

The issue is this. Samuel Ajayi Crowther was taken by Fulani slavers as a slave from his village of Oshogun (now a town) when he was a child. He was subsequently sold to Portuguese slavers, who were arrested by the British.

Thereafter, he was given the name Samuel Ajayi Crowther, given a very thorough British education, which culminated in a PhD from Oxford University. Thereafter he was ordained by the Anglican Church and sent by the Church Missionary Society to promote not Christianity, but Anglicanism, which is a form of Christianity that is based more on Christendom (political Christianity) than the teachings of Christ.

The manifest agenda of the Church Missionary Society was to Anglicise Africans. However, their hidden agenda was more sinister. They worked with commercial companies, like the Royal Niger Company, and the British Government, to further their colonial ambitions, which in summary was the political domination and commercial exploitation of Africa.

So, while the Greek Pantheon of gods were romanticised by great British philosopher aristocrats, like Lord Byron, who fell in love with Greece, to the extent that he fought for Greece during their war of independence from the Ottomans, the Yoruba Pantheon was demonised to the extent that Èṣù became satan, while the Greek Zeus, and the other titans became stuff of legends.

And if you think about it. Samuel Ajayi Crowther innocently (and wrongly) translated satan as Èṣù. Now, how did he translate the Hebrew word Yeshua, which in Greek is Iisoús, from which we have the supposedly English Jesus? The word for Jesus in his translation is simply a J added to Èṣù, just like that, Jesus became Jèṣù.

Now, I am fairly certain this is a coincidence. But Jèṣù and Èṣù is just too close for my liking, especially when you take into account the strong hold that free masonry has over the Anglican Church, which was even stronger in the 18th and 19th century.

And our people don’t really think this way. If you want to get a Black African to surrender his critical thinking ability, introduce religion.

That is why Nigerian parents will buy clothes with Zeus, Thor, Diana, and Atlas (all European pagan gods) for their children to wear, but will teach those children to hate their own village cousins who have knowledge of Ifa divination!

Even as Christians and Muslims, we Africans, and especially the Yoruba, should study Ifa divination. There is science in Ifa divination. We can extract the science, and question or even reject the cleromancy.

Do you know that the Yoruba Ifa divination has names for elements, like iron, bronze, kaolin, clay, etc. And they had these elements identified and sorted into names long before 1869, Dmitri Mendeleev invented the periodic table which we use today. That is not voodoo, or juju, or witch doctoring. That is science! Ancient African science.

If we as a people can accept and practice Trinity, Christmas, Easter, Sunday worship, carvings and idols of supposedly Christ and saints (which Exodus 20:4 strongly condemns),  and many other pagan European ideas that were smuggled into Christendom by free masons and Rosicrucians and other occult groups, who have brainwashed us into accepting them without question, why can’t we accept the scientific aspects of our culture that do not contradict the word of God.

Look there is a reason why Julius Caesar burned the African library of Alexandria, and why the British bombed King Fasilides’ library in Gondar, Ethiopia, and why they taught Samuel Ajayi Crowther to delegitimise ancient African wisdoms.

And the reason is to deprive Africans of their ancient intellectual sciences, and make us see our culture and our ancestors as dark and without any worthy contribution to modern civilisation.

Meanwhile, in Scripture, the ancient Israelite kings relied on Black Africans to advise them on good governance, and science. We see this in Jeremiah 38:7-12.

I urge my African brothers and sisters to read extensively. Do not read just to accept everything you read book, line and sinker. Read with your critical thinking cap on.

We should not have to go to Cuba, Brazil and other places in the Americas to rediscover ancient African wisdoms.

Read, and then travel.

Travel is an education for me. This year alone, I have been to 20 countries. Why do I travel? Because there is knowledge out there that can cure my ignorance in certain areas. Some of you have been praying to God to send you destiny helpers. What if your DH is in another country? Travel for fun. Travel for education. Travel to meet people! Travel for inspiration!

An antelope is quiet when eating in the Serengeti, because it knows that if it makes noise, lions will notice and kill it. Many of us invite the lions that are killing us into our lives. Small money touched your hand, instead of eating quietly, you make noise that attracts lions! Even Scripture says “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”-1 Peter 5:8. Stop making noise so that you can make news!

Family is Everything by Omoruyi Uwuigiaren

Learn this bitter lesson.

Don't forget your family, especially your children as you serve the public.

Take care of your children.

Show them love. Don't put your job ahead of your children. Put your children ahead of every thing. Make them the priority.

You will need them when you are old. A time will come you will retire from the spotlight to face the kids you left behind to chase your dream.

From research, prominent people don't do well as parents. While they serve the public with vigour, they are carried away or they forget to raise their own children. The result leaves them broken. Evangelist Ebenezer Obey on my mind.

HOW BOOKS TURNED MY LIFE AROUND by Tamara Rasheed

5 1/2 YEARS AGO, MY 4 CHILDREN AND I WERE HOMELESS, SLEEPING ON A PULL-OUT COUCH. HERE’S HOW BOOKS TURNED MY LIFE AROUND.

In 2017, I had just started my publishing agency at the beginning of that year.

I had 17 books of my own across genres, best selling fiction and nonfiction books. I looked awesome on paper but was so miserable.

My mentors at the time decided to start sending me high ticket referrals, not taking into consideration that I may have some mindset issues.

I had imposter syndrome, serious procrastination issues, and I self-sabotaged.

And I had no vocabulary for what was happening. I just saw myself imploding sometimes.

I was constantly feeling stuck.

I closed a $3,000 sale and became arrogant, self-sabotaging everything and losing the place I was renting.

I thought I could convince my landlord to treat a pest problem in my back yard if I put in my 30 day notice to quit the property.

No plan b of course because I thought I had the upper hand as an OK tenant that paid rent on time (doing what I was supposed to do).

He took plan A and we had to leave in 30 days.

I ended up moving my children into my little sister's 2 bedroom townhouse - 5 people sleeping on 1 pull out couch.

It was simultaneously the best and worst decision I could have made.

It made me really think about how serious I was about my business because it was causing me so much stress.

You see, if I never lost everything, I never would have had the courage to be here with you today.

I needed to be humbled and to really take control of how I showed up.

I focused on taking care of my family because of my book business.

I focused on improving my personal and professional development because of my book business.

I changed the way I approached writing books because I wanted the people I wrote for to know how much I love them.

I used the profits from that sale to go out on a limb and buy a property that required me to heal it for it to show me love back.

When you really believe in something, you will overcome all obstacles in the way of being successful.

I went from homelessness, welfare, child support, and unemployment to building a 6 figure book business that serves hundreds of people.

I didn't quit. I allowed it to make me better and address the things that held me back.

I hope this helps.

OKOWA'S MISUNDERSTANDING AND MISINTERPRETATION OF 'DEEP EXPERIENCE' by John Akugbe

First and foremost, I was born in the same village where Governor Okowa was born. Both of us are of Ika origin, in Delta State of Nigeria.
Peter Obi hails from Anambra state, while Datti-baba Ahmed is from Kaduna state. I am doing this simply because of my patriotism and OBIDIENCE as the situation in Nigeria has demanded of us.

Having gone through the statement made by governor Okowa against His Excellency, Peter Obi that; "Peter Obi's experience is not deep enough" to lead Nigeria".

As shocked and confused I was over that statement, I was compelled to reason with Governor Okowa by going around to look at it through the angles Okowa might have seen Peter Obi because, the interpretation of what you see depended on the angle you viewed it from.

1. First of all, Peter Obi doesn't have that deep experience to assume being from South South with Urhobo traditional cap, just as your deep experience has turned you to become a South Easterner by wearing Igbo traditional red caps. Okowa's geopolitical zone is South South and not South East - chameleon behaviour!

2. Of course, Peter Obi doesn't have that deep experience to owe both the dead and living pensioners of their pensions. Such a deep and wicked experience Peter Obi doesn't have which you, governor Okowa has in abundance.

3. Peter Obi's experience is not deep to the depth of hiring thousands of useless and needless men all over the Delta state as SAs, SSAs, EAs and party thugs to be receiving money monthly for doing nothing, other than to roam the streets and making noise in beer parlours, have sex in hotels with young girls that are forced out of schools through strikes. If this is part of the deep experience you mean, Peter Obi doesn't have it.

4. Peter Obi's experience is not as deep as yours who will go and borrow 150billion towards the end of his 8 years as a governor. Peter Obi doesn't have that deep experience to fund a candidate with identity discrepancies to replace him as the next governor. No! Such a deep experience Peter Obi doesn't have.

5. My dear Governor Okowa, how much Delta money did you spend in Abuja while lobbying to become a tool to Atiku as his running mate?
For your information Sir, Peter Obi doesn't spend public money anyhow. For this you are absolutely right because, Peter Obi doesn't have such deep spending experience which you are known for.

6. Peter Obi doesn't have your type of deep experience to leave Agbor central hospital in shambles and comatose as you have done. Peter Obi is not like you and had not left the hospitals in Anambra state in ruin as a governor. If this is what you called, deep experience, you are right. Peter Obi doesn't have such a deep experience.

7. Please Uncle Okowa, mind your Atiku and his agenda for Nigeria and leave Peter Obi alone in peace! Peter Obi doesn't have the deep experience to attack other candidates as you have. Peter Obi only knows how to tackle problems with clear solutions.

8. Uncle Okowa, you had the opportunity to choose Peter Obi but, you and your delegates decided to choose dollars through Corruption Atiku. Please sell Atiku, your new master and his agenda if any and leave Peter Obi alone,  please!

9. You are right uncle Okowa when you said that Peter Obi doesn't have that deep experience. It is true. Peter Obi cannot betray the South East Governors. Peter Obi doesn't have that mind (Deep experience) to gather South East Governors to demand for Southern Presidency and anti open grazing laws, only to go behind secretly to negotiate, began supporting the same Northern Presidency you  mobilised the southern governors against. My dear Okowa, Peter Obi doesn't have this kind of experience, whether deep or shallow.

10. My dear brother/uncle Okowa, what I expect from you now is a true regret. You had the opportunity of becoming the presidential candidate from the South South but, you and your delegates opted for Corruption Atiku's dollars. Now you and your delegates have the dollars, while you become a tool for Atiku. Now who is to blame, assuming you have not betrayed the South South governors as you said?

Governor Okowa, Please repent and desist from personal attacks. Nigeria is in deep trouble from everywhere. Take Nigeria's problems one after the other and begin to tell us how you will solve them. This kind of attack on Peter Obi will definitely bring you down and expose you badly.

I am Mr. John Akugbe.
