Great book for the holiday. Rosen by Michelle Hall

Most people love Thanksgiving. Then again, most people have things to be thankful for.
Six years ago, around this time, Leonard Rosen lost his daughter to a drug overdose, leaving behind his only grandson, Jackie. This year, he’s about to be dealt another devastating blow when Leonard learns Jackie’s father plans to take his son and move halfway across the world.

Crushed by the news, Leonard goes back to doing what he does best: He meets the perfect woman. As the two spend Thanksgiving in a swanky Manhattan hotel room, Leonard recounts his life to this mysterious stranger, trying to solve the questions that may haunt him forever. By the time he’s done, Leonard will have the answers he’s been dreading to know.
