EXCERPT: Caught With Pants Down

After a long hard day’s work, Jim Paterson stumbled out of his office to catch a bit of fresh air at his balcony as he awaited the arrival of his friend, Frank. The poor soul was an integral part of Jim’s life and their bond have reached the high heavens. Two creatures brought together by mutual love could no longer live apart. Jim is a perfect gentleman in good shape. Towering high, brown piggy eyes and his head like an egg. All the good things of this life are well within his reach including thin lips hidden under a heavy line of mustache. As Jim stared vaguely at the outside world, a lady whom he had barely knew alighted from a taxi at the other side of the road. She hung her bag on her shoulder and held it firmly to her body. Once the taxi drove off, it left trails of dust in the air, much to her dismay. She took out her handkerchief from the bag and covered her nose before the dust could invade her body and inflict havoc....

 Written by  Omoruyi Uwuigiaren The walls were painted with several layers of attractive colors and the floor lined with beautiful tiles to match. The wooden furniture were perfect for the office. There was a split air conditioner unit on the wall, TV set and next to them was Jim’s portrait. Chairs and table were in a corner. His computer sat comfortably on one side of the table. The window blinds were neat. The curtains slightly drawn and the atmosphere smelled nicely. Jim Paterson has good taste. It was easy to see the world that the man belongs. He must be eternally grateful for what life has given him. He was neither rich nor poor. But of course, he was in the middle of both extremes. Jim Paterson went round the large table that was the size of an Olympic stadium and sank into his favorite seat. He glanced up at the woman who had followed him into the office. It was easy to tell from her look that she was impressed. “Please, sit down. What can I offer you?” Jim took his ...
